This workshop is aimed at line managers, supervisors and all staff involved with advising, managing and supervising neurodivergent employees.

Every responsible employer has the desire to create a thriving, successful workforce where every employee can add value, and feel a sense of belonging – regardless of their background or cognitive profile.

This isn’t just an ethical consideration. Bringing together our cognitive process can lead to varied perspectives, ideas and problem-solving approaches, all of which can lead to tangible, positive effects on team productivity and outcomes.

Senior leadership sets the standard and tone for better culture and approaches to neurodiversity, requiring team leaders to translate this vision into everyday practice. Striking the right balance between leadership values and individual team needs is key to unlocking the full potential of a cognitively diverse workforce and managers should be both informed and supported to achieve this.

Our two-part neurodiversity series concludes with an insightful workshop led by Daniel Aherne, Author and Founder of Adjust Services. Designed specifically for managers, this session will explore the everyday practical considerations and small-scale adjustments that can make a big impact in supporting neurodiverse employees and optimising performance from cognitively diverse teams.

About Daniel Aherne

Daniel, author of the book “The Pocket Guide to Neurodiversity” founded Adjust in 2016 to raise awareness of Neurodiversity in the workplace.

Daniel has over 20 years experience of neurodiversity and working with employers as a trainer and speaker.

Daniel’s passion for Neurodiversity started in 2000 by volunteering with an Autistic boy on a playscheme. This led to him working at the National Autistic Society in the employment team, where he managed the Employment Training. In this role he noticed that whilst every autistic person was different, every workplace was very similar in terms of the barriers that autistic people faced. Leading him to focus primarily on workplaces and helping them become more inclusive.

Daniel is available to deliver his new “Fireside Chat” with a focus on his book ´A pocket guide to Neurodiversity ´and his inspiring ADHD journey. Visit Adjustservices.co.uk for more details.
